Featuring Dr. Bob Malin, who will speak about Civil War medical and surgical practices during the American Civil War. Dr. Malin will discuss myths of “bitten bullets”, whiskey anesthesia, barbaric practices. Dr. Malin is a retired surgeon who practiced in Anchorage, Alaska and retired to Santa Fe, NM.
