This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad. On Thursday, November 14, 2019 the Castle Rock Historical Society and Museum will hold a showing of the film, “Journey to Promontory”. This hour-long film tells the story of America’s first transcontinental railroad. Learn how this incredible feat took place in 1869, unifying the country with a railroad from East to West with a final symbolic Golden Spike. Refreshments will be served at 6:45pm with the presentation beginning at 7:00pm at the Philip S. Miller Library 100 S. Wilcox St. Castle Rock, CO 80104.
