Join us on Thurs. Sept. 12, 2024 to hear an almost minute by minute, eye-witness account of what 9/11 was like for those at or near the towers in Lower Manhattan. Journalist Catherine Fitzpatrick will talk about her book and her experience at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. The presentation is at 7pm at the Philip & Jerry Miller Library 100 S. The Castle Rock Museum will give free walking tours of downtown Castle Rock each month from June to September. The last tour of the season is Sept. 28th at 10:30am. The 45-minute tour will begin at The Courtyard on Perry Street, 333 Perry St. (by the fountain) and will conclude at the Castle Rock Museum, 420 Elbert Street. Come hear stories of The Rock, The Old Stone Church, The B&B Café, Hangman’s Gulch and more. The nighttime tours will be at 7:00pm on Oct. 2nd & 3rd, 9th, 16th, 17th, 23rd & 30th. There will also be daytime tours on Oct. 12th & 26th at 1:00pm.
Tours begin and end at the Castle Rock Museum. Please dress for the weather. The tour is free, but donations are encouraged.

Please join us on Sat. Oct. 5, 2024 for a leisurely walk through historic grave sites in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Cedar Hill was founded in 1875 and is the only cemetery in Castle Rock. It contains the remains of pioneers significant in the early history of Castle Rock and Douglas County. Retired local history teacher, John Berry will give the guided tour along with several re-enactors.
