Chug, chug, chug on in to the Castle Rock Museum to see our garden model train. We’ll have the garden train and replicas of Castle Rock historic buildings on display in our backyard. We’re also celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Denver & Rio Grande Railway depot that is now the Castle Rock Museum. Come enjoy free train rides and music from the Castle Rock Band. The band will play at 11am and 12pm.Join us on Sat. Sept. 6, 2024 from 10am – 1pm at the Castle Rock Museum 420 Elbert Street. Anniversary celebration will be at 11:30am. Join us Thurs. Sept. 11, 2025 for an interesting presentation by local historian, Tim Weber on historic figure, William Dillon. Mr. Dillon was an important figure in Castle Rock and Chicago. He was instrumental in starting a law school at Loyola and for helping start the St. Francis of Assisi church in Castle Rock. The presentation is at 7pm at the Philip & Jerry Miller Library 100 S. The Castle Rock Museum is giving free walking tours of downtown Castle Rock each month from June to September. Join us for the last tour of the season on Sept. 27, 2025 at 10:30 AM. The 45-minute tour will begin at The Courtyard on Perry Street, 333 Perry St. by the fountain and will conclude at the Castle Rock Museum, 420 Elbert Street.
