Joins us on Thurs. Sept. 14, 2023 for a presentation by CRHSM President, Ron Claussen on the 90th Anniversary of the Castlewood Canyon Dam break. The collapse of part of the Castlewood Canyon Dam caused a major flood that made it all the way to Downtown Denver. It caused over 1 million in damage (in 1933 values) and took out farms, ranches, homes and so much more along the way. The presentation will begin at 7:00pm at the Philip S. Miller Library 100 S. Wilcox St. Castle Rock, CO 80104. For more information check out our website at www.castlerockhistoricalsociety.org or contact the Castle Rock Museum at 303-814-3164, firstname.lastname@example.org.
